West Navigator, owned by Seadrill Management AS, is drilling the Ormen Lange wells.
This 253-metre long drill ship has been specially adapted to perform drilling operations in extremely deep water and adverse weather conditions.
She features dynamic positioning, is equipped for all-year-round drilling and has two drilling rigs. The West Navigator is equipped for drilling operations in 2500 metres of water and can drill wells as deep as 9000 metres below the sea surface.
The ship carries a crew of 120 persons during drilling operations for Ormen Lange.
